This 3-days Gorilla Trekking Uganda safari is designed for travelers seeking a powerful, intimate and unforgettable close-range wildlife encounter deep in the heart of Africa’s most ancient rainforests. From Nairobi, fly into Uganda and continue onward toward the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas and breathtaking montane jungle terrain.

Stay two nights at your beautifully positioned  Lodge or Camp in the Rushaga sector, and enjoy exceptional comfort, warm hospitality and stunning forest views throughout. This itinerary delivers the perfect blend of adventure, exclusivity and emotional wildlife connection  fast, efficient and deeply memorable.

Day 1: Nairobi to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

You will be picked from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and escorted to the departure terminal for your scheduled flight to Entebbe. On arrival in Entebbe, connect to your domestic charter flight to Kisoro airstrip. From the airstrip you will be met and transferred by road to your Lodge or Camp.

Arrive at your Lodge or Camp in time for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, take a gentle lodge-led nature walk in the nearby forest edge or relax on the lodge terrace watching forest life and mountain view. Dinner and overnight at your Lodge or Camp.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Start before dawn with an early breakfast at the lodge to fuel your tracking day. Transfer to the Rushaga tracking start point where your expert park guides and rangers brief you on safety, tracking rules and gorilla etiquettes out into the ancient, moss-draped Bwindi forest to track your allocated habituated mountain gorilla family. Treks may last anywhere from 1–6 hours depending on gorilla movements; your guides will adjust the route to maximize viewing opportunities while prioritizing the gorillas’ welfare.

When you locate the group you will have the official one-hour viewing period a profoundly moving close encounter with adults, silverbacks, playful juveniles and infants. A packed lunch will be provided for the day so you can eat in the field if timing requires or back at the lodge after the trek. Return to your Lodge or Camp in the late afternoon for relaxation  and reflect on the experience. Enjoy a hearty dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Kisoro to Nairobi

After breakfast, checkout, transfer back to the airstrip for your return charter to Entebbe, then connect onward to Nairobi (JKIA).

Arrive in Nairobi where the itinerary concludes with a drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or the airport. End of unforgettable Gorilla Trekking Uganda adventure.
