Your adventure kicks off with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel at 6:00 AM.

From there, you'll embark on a guided city tour, starting with an exciting morning game drive at Nairobi National Park located just 7 kilometers (about 15 minutes) from the city center. This unique wildlife sanctuary is the only national park in the world situated so close to a capital city, offering a rare opportunity to spot lions, rhinos, giraffes, and more against the backdrop of Nairobi’s skyline.

The morning coolness makes it the perfect time for animal sightings as the wildlife is highly active.

Visit the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage

At around 10:00 AM, you will head to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Here, you’ll witness an extraordinary conservation effort, where orphaned baby elephants are fed and cared for by dedicated staff.

This is an opportunity to learn about the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s pioneering elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation program, the most successful of its kind in the world. If you wish, you may also participate in the adoption program, helping to support these incredible creatures as they are rehabilitated and eventually reintroduced into the wild.

Optional: Giraffe Centre

Next, you may opt to visit the Giraffe Centre, home to the endangered Rothschild giraffe. The Giraffe Centre is dedicated to the preservation of this species and you’ll have the chance to learn about the history of giraffe conservation in Kenya.

You can even hand-feed these graceful creatures and if you’re lucky, you might get a kiss from one. The Giraffe Centre is a peaceful sanctuary, where the giraffes roam freely and the experience of interacting with these magnificent animals is both educational and memorable.

At the end of your tour, you will be driven back to your Nairobi hotel, or if you're departing Nairobi, to the airport, depending on your travel plans.
